<<<<<<< HEADDo you need a visa to attend ADCS 2018? Advice from NZ Immigration is:
The overseas conference participants can come to New Zealand on a visitor visa to attend the conference. For visa waiver countries they will simply be granted a visitor visa on arrival. For visa required countries they will need to apply for a visitor visa before coming. To apply they use the standard visitor visa form, and when asked for the purpose of their visit they should indicate that they are coming here to attend a conference. If they are applying online they need to indicate they are applying for a General Visitor Visa and then in the "What is the purpose of your visit to New Zealand" question they need to select the conference/convention option.

Monday 10th December 2018. Arriving on Monday? There's an informal get-together at Emerson's Brewery. This award winning brewery has excellent beers, great pub food, and offers a tour of the brewery at a reasonable price ($28.00). If you don't want to go on the tour then meet us at Emerson's for a few drinks. If you do want to go on the tour then make sure you register for the tour when you register for ADCS as spaces are limited. The tour starts at 6:00pm.
Tuesday 11th December 2018. On Tuesday night we've organised a Maori hangi as the conference dinner. For logistic reasons this will be served in the University Staff Club, on campus, one block from the conference venue. Be sure to register for the hangi when you register for ADCS.
Wednesday 12th December 2018. Staying Wednesday night? We've booked the Monarch Fish & Chip Cruise. Those who attended ADCS in 2012 will remember the trip - it was truely unforgettable. The boat leaves at 7:30pm, the trip costs $55, and there is a bar on the boat. If you want to be on the boat then make sure you register when you register for ADCS.
